Alexander the Great, born in 356 BC in Pella, is one of history’s most famous conquerors. Son of Philip II of Macedon, he inherits a powerful kingdom and a formidable army. At just 20 years old, he begins a series of military campaigns that lead him to conquer the Persian Empire, extending from Greece to India. Alexander is renowned for his exceptional military strategy and ability to inspire his troops. His foundation of many cities, such as Alexandria, contributed to the spread of Hellenistic culture. He dies prematurely in 323 BC, leaving a lasting legacy.
